Object history | According to the annotated copyn of the first edition of the catalogue of the Schreiber Collection, Lady Charlotte Schreiber purchased this from 'V. Antolino, Valencia' for 15 [?] shillings in December 1877. In her Jounals (vol. II, p. 84), she mentions buying 'at Vicenti's a dear little Chelsea head, with diamond eyes, for a pin' in Valencia on 27th December 1877. Acquired as Chelsea porcelain. |
