Lily and Hodge are the artist Yvonne Skargon's (born 1931) two cats; she depicted them in her books of cats. A Japanese Department store, Tokyu, decided to use the name and the illustration for a small shop within their store which sold T-shirts, ceramics, bags, clocks, aprons, wrapping paper, towels and many other items printed with the image.
