Physical description
Porcelain vase of beaker-shaped, painted in underglaze blue with peonies and conventional foliage in reserve on a blue ground. Above and below are bands of sceptre-head (ruyi) panels containing formal floral decoration. Bordered by a band of diaper-work above foot, and a band of half flower-head and scrolling foliage below the mouthrim.
