Object history | The bowl of this footed beaker was once a beaker without a foot. The foot must have been added during the late 19th century. It has been fiitted by removing the original bottom of the beaker and gluing in a new base, attached to a tall stem and foot. This might have been done because the original bottom was damaged, but it also must have added to the value of the object. The added foot might be of 19th-century origin. |
