Artist/Maker
Place of origin

A pair of small, circular gwanja hat accessories, carved from high-quality Korean nephrite jade with a soft, milky white hue and subtle green translucency. The pieces have a smooth, polished surface with a central hole, allowing them to be securely fastened.

Traditionally sewn onto the maeonggeon (a headband worn under the gat, a traditional horsehair hat), they are positioned on both sides above the ear line to help stabilise the gat on the wearer’s head.
