Object history | In 1989 Richmond was the leading London borough in its activities to protect the environment. In 1988 the council set up a sub-committee to deal with environmental issues and in 1989 they organised a 'Green Action Week' to launch the publication of this leaflet printed in an edition of 5,000 and made available to the public through institutions such as libraries and health centres and through 300 local residents' amenities organisations . It was also intended to issue it to local businesses and a special version for schools was also prepared. |
