Object history
The captions on the poster, apart from the main one and the names of the countries, include the total overall Defence budget for the latter, of 2,324 million dollars for 1931, (Each coin represents 2 million dollars) and a quote from Stalin "What do the Bourgeois governments arm and rearm for. Not of course for talks, but for War".
