Howard, Laurence Olivier as Michael Ingolby, Michael is sent to Spain by Queen Elizabeth (Flora Robson) to discover the names of the traitors at her Court. He impersonates one of them, but is found out and arrested by King Philip (Raymond Massey). He attacks his guards, and manages to escape to England with news of the Armada preparations.
