Paper folio originally made to contain five photographs with tissue overleaves by Maxime Du Camp. 'Cinquieme Livraison. Haute Egypte', originally containing plates 16, 17, 19, 20 and 23 in the series 'Égypte, Nubie, Palestine et Syrie. Dessins Photographiques recuillis pendant les années 1849, 1850 et 1851', letterpress printed folded paper, published 1852.

Object history
This is one of five paper letterpress wrappers associated with 24 photographs made by Maxime du Camp (from an original set of 125), printed by Blanquart-Evrard and published by Gide et J. Baudry, Éditeurs, as part of a 25 part subscription series, each containing 5 salted paper print plates, each with tissue interleaves.
