According to the poster, The Case in Question, a play by the British playright and scriptwriter Ronald Millar (1919-1998) was 'suggested by' the novel In Their Wisdom by C.P. Snow. Directed by John Clements, designed by Hutchinson Scott, with lighting by Michael Northen, the play ran at London's Haymarket Theatre, or the Theatre Royal Haymarket, from 10th March to 18th October 1975. The cast featured John Clements, Zena Walker, Margaret Courtenay, Peter Cellier, Donald Pickering, Charles Lloyd Pack, Simon Cadell, Anna Fox, Elizabeth Bradley, John Boxer, David Rose, Louis Haslar, Neville Marten, Brian Hayes, David McKail, Lionel Hamiton, Kenton Moore, Dennis Barry, Lorna Rosslyn and Angela Godfrey.
The playwright Ronald Millar was an actor before becoming a dramatist, script and speechwriter. He wrote speeches for three Prime Minsters and wrote the speeches for Margaret Thatcher that included the lines: 'The lady's not for turning', and 'Where there is discord, let us bring harmony.'
Margaret Courtenay, who played Katherine Underwood to the Julian Underwood of Simon Cadell, kept this poster as a souvenir.
