Object history | One of a pair of figures of a lion 414:146-1885 (Sch. I 5); on this, however, see below. One lion was purchased by Lady Charlotte Schreiber from George, London, for £1 5 shillings in October 1878; the other was given to Lady Charlotte Schreiber by Augustus Wollaston Franks in September 1884 Acquired as Bow or Chelsea porcelain. |
