Vase, white glaze ironstone, ewer-shaped. Scrolled lip, gilt scrolled handle, fluted neck, flat shoulders with reclining cherub figures ornamented on left and right side, shoulders also with hand-painted green foliage, Two moulded shells either side at centre shoulder line, body decorated either side with large scroll reliefs and two mask reliefs possibly depicting fauns. One side decorated with hand-painted panel of two birds in a landscape, other side decorated with hand-painted panel of three men in a cave, one playing a lute, group being confronted by a man wielding a sabre. Foot moulded with acanthus leaves, attached to a gold and black painted square base, whole vase decorated with gold, green and turquoise enamels.
