Chimneypiece, glazed ironstone china, five parts. Two semi-octagonal top pillar blocks with hand painted 'lion dog' or Qilin decoration, printed under-glaze in black and painted with qilins, rosettes and clouds on a green ground, border painted with red geometric swirl pattern. Two semi-octagonal pillars, each side with ten recessed panels of Chinese landscapes, flowers, birds, figures, warriors and text. Printed under-glaze in black and painted with qilins, rosettes and clouds on a green ground, border painted with red geometric swirl pattern. Rectangular lintel with wavy lower edge, in two fragments. Both fragments with one recessed panel, larger fragment depicting a Chinese landscape, other fragment Chinese text. Both fragments printed under-glaze in black and painted with qilins, rosettes and clouds on a green ground, larger fragment with double scrolled bracket decorated with Chinese figures, smaller fragment with protruding wood board in centre.
