The reasons given by the design partnership Minale Tattersfield for choosing wood engraving to illustrate this health food packaging were that it was seen to emphasize natural goodness of these health foolds and that it reproduced well on a wide range of packaging materials. This was artist Andrew Davidson's (born 1958) first commercial commission. E.761-1994 to E.766-1994 are from the same commission.

This was Andrew Davidson's first commercial commission. For this
range of natural foods, wood engraving was chosen to emphasise
natural goodness. It also reproduced well, printing clearly on plastic
melinex films as well as on cardboard, paper bags for flour, and
other materials.
