Object history
The ‘Tang Princess’ ensemble is designed by Chong Hui Han Tang (重回漢唐), a Chengdu- based company founded by a pop singer Sun Yi and his wife in 2006. It is inspired by a typical woman’s outfit of the 7th century – comprising a narrow-sleeved blouse, high- waisted skirt gathered below the bust, and scarf, with various jackets worn over the ensemble – a style did not originate in China, and was probably introduced from Iran.
