Object history
Assembled and added to between 1616 and 1632 for Wolfgang Leutkauff in Turkey. Collection of H.J. von Aussem, probably Hermann Isaak von Aussem (1744-1825), art and book collector based in Aachen: inscription inside the front cover 'H.J. von Aussem 38', the '38' probably corresponds to teh book's number in von Aussem's library. Donated to the Museum by Mrs D.C. Hodgson in 1889; accessioned on 30th October 1889 (inscription inside the front cover: 30.X.89).
