Mid-century commercial graphic design reflected the optimism of the postwar era. Operas and ballet were marketed with dynamic, stylised figures and vibrant colour palettes that were characteristic of the period. Reginald Mount was one of many professional graphic designers of the time. He created music marketing imagery as well as designing government campaign posters during the Second World War.
