Utilitarian tableware and kitchenware were a staple of Wedgwood’s output during the nineteenth century. Queen’s ware continued to prove itself a versatile and durable ceramic body, suited to a wide variety of practical uses in the kitchen. Besides decorative pieces for the dining room, meat carriers,
stacking bowls – available in octagonal, diamond, circular and scalloped shapes – pudding moulds, bin labels, weights and
ceramic inserts for saucepans were manufactured at this time.
