Object history | Item Provenance: Provenance: The Glasgow Print Studio Notes: This image was produced for The Scottish Bestiary, a livre d'artist of 20 plates by seven artists who have lived or worked in Scotland, with an accompanying text by the Scottish writer and poet George Mackay Brown, printed by Peacock Printmakers, Aberdeen and published by Paragon Press, London, 1987. The plates were also produced as a portfolio. This plate was one of an edition of 10 proofs for the book. The other artists who contributed to the Bestiary were John Bellany, Steven Campbell, Peter Howson, Jack Knox, Bruce Mclean, and June Redfern. An impression of Howson's Stag, from the portfolio edition, is also in the collection: E.196-1987. |
