Bound in brown goatskin tooled in blind to a panel design with acorn tools at corners; a border filled with fleurons and a centre panel with a pot of flowers and four characters (including an angel); the centre panel is surrounded by the legend: "Opus Viviani de Varixio cartarii in carubeo filiian"; remains of ties, spine with two bands; blue edges. Italian binding from mid 16th century by Viviano da Varese.
Originally published in Rome in 1524; cf. Brunet I, 388.
Publisher's device and colophon repeating imprint on last leaf, recto.
