Coffee Pot
1955 (made)
Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
The Barlaston range, created by Wedgwood's Production Director, Norman Wilson, to mark the opening of the new factory, used Wedgwood’s iconic Queen’s ware but with a contemporary twist. The two-tone effect was created by layering coloured clays on a creamware base for contrast. As well as new techniques and glazes, Wilson introduced tunnel kilns, enabling higher production volumes at the modern electric factory.
