Oval paintbox in blue jasperware, with white classical reliefs of cupids around the outside of the box. Wedgwood, Etruria, 1785-1790
Physical description
Oval paintbox in blue jasperware, with white classical reliefs of cupids around the outside of the box. Lid of paintbox, blue jasperware with white reliefs, decorated with a leaf border around the outside and a central flower motif around a lotus-shaped finial. Contains jasperware paint palette, and flat holder with 12 holes to hold a set of 12 paint cups.
