On recto: 'May twenty fifth. Virgin foundress. St. Madeleine Sophie Barat.' On verso: 'St. Madeleine-Sophie Barat. Virgin Foundress. Feast: May 25. This woma of great charm and industry founded a congregation called the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, afterward known as Madames of the Sacred Heart. She had such clever organization ability that many pastors asked her to establish schools. During her lifetime one hundred and five schools were founded, and the Order has since spread all over the world. Prayer. St. Madeleine-Sophie, pray for us that we may imitate your zeal and dedication to God's service! Heavenly 87. Printed in Italy.'
