Object history
The box has a grey card presentation box of cubic shape and signed Stephen R. Jones.

Stephen Jones (Press Release 1982) has revived the decorative process of "micro-crystalline" glazes first used in about 1865 by Bernard Moore of Stoke, Massier of France and Royal Copenhagen. He has managed to stabilize the process and increase the range of colours and crystalline structures available by using different oxides and different metal components.

Stephen Jones has won Design Council approval for some of his pieces, including this one.
