Hard-paste porcelain ashtray, circular in shape and has a deep well with a raised circular centre. It has a wide rim with three depressions. The centre is printed in red enamel with a shield, surmounted by buildings. Inside the shield is the monogram, HP, incorporated into a bunch of grapes. Round the shield are the words "Gegr. 1869 Hans Prang, Hamburg." Round the rim is the inscriptions "Der echte Prang: der Rechte Trank! Prang Korn."
