ff. 80r-126v: Office of the Dead, Use of Rome, headed “INCIPIT OFFICIUM / MORTUORUM AD / VESPERAS ABSOL/UTE. ANTIFANA'. Placebo domino. Ending with ‘EXPLICIT OFFICI/UM QUOD CELEBRA/TUR PRO DEFUNC/TIS SECUNDUM MO/REM ROMANE CURIE’.

ff. 128r-132v: Small Office of the Cross, headed ‘INCIPIT OFFICIUM / PARVUM CRUCIS / CHRISTI EDITUM A PAPA / IOHANNE XII’, certainly and error for John XXII, pope from 1316 to 1334, traditionally linked with the Hours of the Cross.
f. 133rv: ruled, but blank.
ff. 134r-155v: Penitential Psalms (for frontispiece, see f. 127v), lacks first folio, begins abruptly in Psalm 6: 9 ‘[inveteravi inter om]/nes inimicos meos. Discedite a me…’, with litany (ff. 145v-151r: includes monks and hermits such as Benedict, Francis, Anthony, Dominic, Bernard and Louis) followed by Psalm 69. And ten collects.
f. 156rv: ruled, but blank.
ff. 157r-185v: Office of the Cross headed ‘INCIPIT MAIUS OF/FICIUM CRUCIS / YESU CHRISTI’, WITH THREE READINGS AT Matins.
Decoration:
The manuscript originally had openings for the beginning of major texts with a full-page miniature on the left and a text with a full border on the right. Many openings are incomplete or inaccurate due to the excision of leaves.
f. 13v: Hours of the Virgin, Matins: miniature showing the Annunciation, framed by a full border of white-vine scrolls (bianchi girari) with birds and a butterfly; in the lower margin, two angels support a medallion enclosing a coat of arms (bare parchment with a fess of a darkened colour, crackled, over red pigment).
Facing leaf was cut out and is missing.
f. 80r: Office of the Dead: a now missing miniature would have faced this page. Text introduced by historiated initial D enclosing skeleton in bust. Full border of white-vine scrolls with hawk, rabbit, cartouche in the outer margin with a girl in prayer, roundel in lower margin flanked by two putti riding exotic birds. Rubrics in gold.
f. 127v: frontispiece to the Penitential Psalms (misbound) showing David and Goliath. Full border of white-vine scrolls with birds including an owl, a butterfly. Blank coat of arms in the lower border.
f. 128r: beginning of the little Office of the Cross framed by a full border of white-vine scrolls with a bear, birds. Text introduced by historiated initial P enclosing a cross rising from a mound. Cartouche in the outer margin with Christ as Man of Sorrows. Cartouche in the lower margin with head of a bearded man with hat, supported by two grotesques with shields and clubs. Rubrics in gold.
f. 157r: beginning of the great Office of the Cross framed by a full border of white-vine scrolls with chubby putti, a doe and hare, birds and a butterfly. Text introduced by historiated initial D enclosing Christ as Man of Sorrows standing in the tomb, displaying his wounds, half-length. Rubrics in gold.

2-line initials in gold on bicolour ground (blue, green, pink).
1-line initials alternately in red and blue.
Binding: 19th-century, England (?), ‘red Niger Morocco’ (according to George Reid’s note pasted at the end of the volume) over boards, a cross tooled in blind on the front cover; vesica shape on the lower cover. Five raised bands on the spine, with lettering in gold ‘MS HORAE ITALIAN ART’.
