This service is described in the Museum's printed registers of 1869 as having been "bought as an example of cheapness of manufacture" The cheapness must have been relative. The decoration is hand-done and these candlesticks cost 1 8s 0d. The service was included in the international exhibition, Paris, 1867, where Lobmeyr won a silver medal
