This terracotta bust depicts a man turned half right with his hair covered by a hood and wearing a close-fitting tunic fastened at the neck. The bust stands on a base, moulded in low relief with two putti holding a shield. It is thought be the work of Giovanni Bastianini.

Terracotta bust of an unknown man by Giovanni Bastianini, 19th century.
Physical description
Bust, terracotta. Draped male head in the style of the 15th century. The bust, which is cut vertically through the shoulders, and across the chest, shows a clean shaven man with head turned to his right; his head is covered by a tunic fastened at the neck. The bust is modelled in one with a moulded rectangular base with, on the front, a shield of arms without charge supported by two partly effaced putti.
