Object history
As the English copyright law requires some of the printing to be carried out in Great Britain, Beatrix Potter obtained 100 sets of sheets from McKay, and had a new section printed in Hawkshead, discarding the corresponding American section. She added an extra page of drawings... The pages were left uncut.

Acquired by the V&A from Leslie Linder (1904-1973) in 1973 as part of the Linder Bequest, a collection of ca. 2150 watercolours, drawings, literary manuscripts, correspondence, books, photographs, and other memorabilia associated with Beatrix Potter and her family.
