Abbatt Toys was a company set up in 1932 by Marjorie and Paul Abbatt. They believed that toys should be functional in design and educational in play. They were instrumental in setting up the Children's Play Activities Trust in 1951, promoting excellence in toy design and manufacture. This puzzle is more akin to earlier dissected puzzles, which had few, if any, interlocking pieces.
