Barbie was first launched in 1959 by Mattel, Inc. Since then the fashion doll has become a cultural icon. She was inspired by a German adult-figured doll called Bild Lilli. This Barbie is from the animated film of Barbie of Swan Lake, adapted from Tchaikovsky's ballet, Swan Lake.

A plastic Barbie doll (unopened in box). She wears a pink and blue sparkly dress. She also has wings and a tiara. The packaging is clear plastic at the front and card at the back with images of Barbie and associates.
