Bionicle is a line of construction toys created by Lego and launched in 2000. They are posable toys that each have a character, either good or evil, that forms part of a science fantasy story. Bionicle was the first Lego product to have an in-house story developed for it, in fact it has been engineered to last some years into the future. This example is Pahrak-Kal, was made in 2003. In the Bionicle story he is a neutral, mechanical, beetle-like creature.

Plastic tub with brown lid (unopened). The front has a graphic image of the constructed figure. The back has some instructions and production details in different languages. There is an instruction booklet inside the tub.
