Bed Cover

1830-1869 (made)
Place of origin

The V&A does not attempt to collect every type of design and county variation of patchwork and quilting, as to do so would duplicate other specialist collections, such as the American Museum in Bath. However the four American examples in the collection illustrate the development of patterns popularly associated with the American tradition since the late 18th century.
