Object history
Registered File number 1995/1924, Streetstyle exhibition 1994-1995, in the exhibition it was part of an outfit called 'Street Style 1993-4 UK', outfit 4 (includes the trouser suit: jacket T.461-1993, trousers T.462-1993 and blouse T.463-1993).

This was exhibited in the Streetstyle show as an example of contemporary street wear.

This is an extremely early example of the work of Hamish Morrow. Since making this suit in 1993, he has gone on to become a well-known fashion designer. He started his studies at Central St Martins in 1989, and eventually graduated from the RCA with a MA in menswear fashion design. After several placements in Milan, he worked under the creative direction of John Bartlett at Byblos during the 1990s. In 2000 he returned to London to launch his first own-label fashion collection in Feb 2001, during London Fashion Week.
