Artist/Maker

Costume designed by Elizabeth Baker for Touch and Go, choreographed by Richard Alston, 2002.

Touch and Go was choregraphed to Piazzolla for duets, the music of Astor Piazolla arranged by Roberto Daris, and was first performed at the Gardner Arts Centre, Brighton, on 19 February 2002. Ismene Brown in the Daily Telegraph, 21 March 2002, said of it 'Steely-eyed pimps and backless dames in tango's dark dives are not the sort of people you might associate with Richard Alston...But Touch and Go...is his take on that fabulous dance style, and it has all his usual restrained urbanity.'
