Jug of hard-paste porcelain painted in enamels. Piriform jug with a wide body and low foot rim, and pinched-out beak-like lip for pouring, outlined with slight rocaille moulding. Scrolled rococo handle. In the front are birds on branches, painted in iron red. Round the rim is a border of vertical stripes in iron red, edged below with rocaille scrollwork, from which depend leaves. Touches of puce on the handle and lip.
