Grete Loebenstein trained at the Bauhaus.
Together with her husband Gustav,
she founded Haël-Werkstätten for the
manufacture of ‘artistic ceramics’ in 1923.
Committed to progressive artistic design,
the firm was a member of the German
association of artists, designers and
industrialists known as the Deutscher
Werkbund.
