Production | H. Colin Slein (?), in 1984, suggested that the music is stylistically similar to the bycinia in a MS in the Vienne Nationalbibliothek, No 18832, copied in c. 1521-25 for Raimund Fugger the Elder, and especially to bicinium No 5. See L. M. J. V.G. Mallet in Splendours of the Gonzaga (1981) attributes it to Casteldurante or Urbino. J Mallet, 01.03.02 Arms of Gonzaga. For dating see Gonzaga catalogue, 1981, no.198. |
