Painted with the scenes from the story of Apollo (Ovid, Metamorphoses, I). On the central boss, which is surrounded by false gadroons in white, is Apollo meeting Cupid. The remaining surface is covered with a landscape with rocks and trees in which, to the right, is Apollo standing on the corpse of the Python, and to the left, the Metamorphoses of Daphne, with the reclining River-god Peneus. On the back is the inscription.

Painted on pale berettino ground with a band of 'bianco sopra bianco' around the central boss.
