Pair of women’s sleeve ruffles of fine bleached muslin, shaped with a slight scallop at the edge. They are tamboured with linen thread and embroidered with drawn-thread work in a pattern of lozenges and abstract floral loops. The lower edge has buttonholed picots. Both ruffles are finely gathered and stitched to 5/16-inch (6 mm) wide linen tape.
