  • 'IN', flames, a mulberry tree, a pear, 'TE', a sheet of music with solfa notation, a grape-wine with stem twisted in form of an S (for In fiamma [or fuoco] mor per te: si fa l'affare? Su, va!) (Italian. Painted on the back)
    Translation
    I am burning for you: are we going to make a business? come on!

  • DISH with a hound holding a heart in its mouth 1540-50 This dish would have been a love token, and its elaborate decoration is rich in meaning. The faithful dog begs for the reward of his beloved's heart. An inscription on the rim, partly using symbols for missing words, proclaims 'I am burning for you. Are we going to make a business?
