Very important
Large drug jar, one handle missing, piece badly flaking (partly consolidated) painted with inscription GENTZIANA Companion piece with 7841-1861. also further companion piece mentioned in new Cat. of Gillet Collection in Lyon.
It could be Montelupo

J Poole, 1995
Tuscany, ca.1510-30

Notes in Rackham cat:
It could be montelupo by comparison with Berti/Pasquinelli 1984, p.108. the tendency of tin-glaze to flake off is un-florentine but very Tuscan.
Of same series as NO.40 in "169 Pieces de la Collection de faience Paul Gillet", Lyon, 1943
