Object history | This plate is part of "The Sultan service" ordered by Stanisław August Poniatowski (1732-1798), King of Poland, and given to the Sultan Abdul Hamid I (1725-1789) in 1777. A similar plate is in the Museum in Cracow. Information provided by Magdalena Białonowska. Purchase price note: Bought for £19 18s 10d. |
