Dress Fabric

1800-1899 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Dress fabric, block printed plain weave cotton.
Displayed behind glass.
The ground is yellow but the less faded colours visible down both sides suggest the ground was originally orange. There are 6 complete and two partial bands of offset botehs, which change direction in alternate bands. The botehs are segmented with no solid outline. There is a pair of green leaves at the base with green leaves scattered through-out. Larger pink blossoms and smaller blue 4-petalled ones complete the design.
