Place of origin |
Dress fabric, woven silk and metal thread.
Displayed behind glass.
Warp: pink silk
Weft: white, black, orange, blue, green silk; silver-gilt metal strip S-wound on a yellow silk core.
Selvedge: 2 cotton cords.
Small repeating pattern in bands linked by very fine black stems which form a series of offset vertical lozenges. The ground appears to be gold metal thread. There are three bands:

[3] a large blue star-like flower with pink centre, seemingly inside circle of leaves; small pink and blue star flower and 4 leaves inside lozenge; large pink rosette with blue centre inside circle of leaves.
