This book cover design shows the same attention to detail as can be seen in the topographical watercolour landscapes, painted as part of the Pilgrim Trust's 'Recording Britain' project, for which artist Phyllis Ginger (1907-2005) is best known. Ginger's watercolour style is characterized by meticulous, delicate drawing overlaid with transparent washes.
