Brief description
Miniature - King George III, watercolour on ivory, Richard Crosse, 1793.
Physical description
Oval miniature bust length portrait of George III wearing a powdered wig, a white ermine cloak and a large gold chain. The miniature is watercolour on ivory and the frame is of ivory in gold and enamel formed as a garter with the motto 'honi soit qui mal y pense' surmounted by a gold crown with red enamel inset.
