Oval miniature and case - Tsar Nicolas I, watercolour and bodycolour on ivory, Ivan Winberg, ca.1850.
Physical description
Oval portrait miniature of Tsar Nicholas I of Russia shown with receding dark hair, a moustache and whiskers wearing a dark green uniform with a red collar and gold epaulettes. He wears the insignia of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Andrew, the order of the Garter, the Imperial Badge for 30 years of Distinguished Military Service, the badge of the Imperial Russian Medal for the Turkish Campaign and the badge of the Royal Order of the Crown of Wurtemberg.
