Brief description
Waiter, silver-gilt, Benjamin Pyne, 1698-1699, with later decoration attributed to Edward Farrell, 1823-25.
Physical description
Silver-gilt dish of hexagonal form on six paw feet with a moulded foliate border. It is chased around the rim with a frieze of putti and hounds with scrolling acanthus leaves on a matted ground. The centre of the dish is engraved with the arms of Courtenay, probably for William Courtenay (1628-1702) of Powderham Castle, Devon.
