The perspex lid is in the form of a shallow hemisphere with a plain moulded rim. The handle of the lid is formed by three spokes arranged equidistantly which rise to an apex at the centre. There is a gap between the rim of the lid and the curvature of the handle so that the handle of the spoon (not supplied) can protrude.
